Collection of Muhammad Ali Felt Pennants (7)
A spectacular collection of Muhammad Ali pennants! The first is in Spanish, promoting the Muhammad Ali vs. Jeanne Pierre Coopman fight in 1976 (just under 25” long on white felt). The other six pennants are from the legendary “Rumble in the Jungle” Ali vs. Foreman fight. Three have the same print and graphics declaring Foreman the “World Heavyweight Champ” and Ali “The People’s Champ” (one on red felt, one on blue and the third on dazzling orange, all measuring 26.5 inches). There are two pennants proclaiming it to be the “Fight of the Century” in white print (one on royal blue felt and the other on black, measuring 31 inches). The final pennant is white with red writing and measures 29.5 inches. The average condition for these pieces is NRMT.
