Cy Young Signed Government Postcard

Cy Young Signed Government Postcard

Baseball’s most prolific winner, who lives on today in the award for pitching excellence named after him, issued one of his last signatures when he signed and sent to Jim Davidson this government postcard postmarked February 5, 1954 from Newcomerstown, OH, less than a year before his death at age 88. The man who won 511 victories before and after the turn of the 20th Century signed in a slightly shaky hand in blue ink what is one of the best Cy Young markers to be found, grading a perfect 10/10, beside a vintage photo affixed to the card. Postcard itself is EX with one corner bent.
