Death of Connie Mack Original Art

Death of Connie Mack Original Art

This wonderful pen and ink drawing is a fitting goodbye to baseball’s grand old gentleman. This is a tasteful tribute to Connie Mack, a figure who was a dignified and stately form in the halls of baseball, clutching a rolled-up scorecard as he sat in the dugout. Great cartoon imagery of a ball with a black velvet ribbon around a baseball and "Called to the Majors." Pen and ink drawing on board by Bruce Russell, this was drawn after Mack's death in 1956. Measuring 13.75x19", the condition is EX-MT. From the collection of the esteemed Helms Hall Sports Museum, this lot will come with letter of provenance/authenticity from Lelands.com.
