Amos Alonzo Stagg was one of the few players to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach. He was important to Yale as an alum, as during this period, he was coaching at The College of the Pacific." This is a formal Yale photograph with a fine pedigree and the ultimate in provenance from the esteemed Helms Hall Sport Museum, and will come with a letter of provenance from Lelands.com. At the top is the logo of Yale's motto, "Lux et Veritas" and "Hitt '1939" cartouche from the original photographer penciled, signed and dated. Photograph on board, it's of exceptional quality signed in fountain pen by Amos Alonzo Stagg. There is some yellowing to the backing board, but otherwise EX-MT, measuring 13x17".
