Early Football Equipment Collection from Helms Museum (8)
If you're a fan of football history, this lot presents a genuine source of intrigue. Several items are from various eras, none of which are attributable to any particular players, so there could be some real sleepers here. 1) 1920s Spalding turtleneck, 2) 1930s cleats with missing "kicker's" toe. 3) 1950s Shrine Game coach's cap. 4) Early pre-war cleats with "42" in chalk (Jackie Robinson's baseball number, we can dream!) 5-8) Aaron Mutch LA Express embroidered #34 USFL warm-up suit with two caps. All the items hail from the collection of the esteemed Helms Hall Sports Museum and come with a letter of provenance/authenticity from Lelands.com. NOTE: Some or all of these pieces could be from major events, or from special "famous" donors. Many of the Helms pieces were unidentified with their source information having been lost through the years, however, photo analysis has enabled us to prove things that previously unidentified by Helms to be very important artifacts. Do your own research and you may have some real treasures here.
