Eddie Plank was one of baseball history’s most winning left handed pitchers of all time. In fact he held the league record for right or left handed pitchers in the American League until Walter Johnson surpassed him in 1921. This is a large personal photograph collection with 4" x 4 1/2” photographs (12) chronicling a trip he took with his wife to Cuba in 1915. There are also 8" x 9 ? photographs (2) of Plank with friends and a few other personal items such as the news clipping announcing his engagement, a commemorative iron mountain route booklet, and there is also a St. Louis Federal League pass signed by Fielder Jones for the games played in Havana . This is a great collection of Plank's personal items that exemplify his life in and outside the world of baseball. LOA from a Plank family member.
