Floyd Patterson Golden Gloves Trunk
Floyd Patterson is best remembered as the youngest man to win the world heavyweight title (at the time) and the first man to lose and regain the title. In addition, Patterson won the National Amateur Middleweight Championship and New York Golden Gloves Middleweight Championship. Offered here is an incredible artifact from his early career, his Golden Gloves trunks. The trunks are blue satin with gold trim and an NY felt patch at the lower left leg. There's a label for Davega Golden Gloves at the center waistband and the trunks exhibit modest soiling and staining, as well as small moth holes on the patch. Photos of Floyd wearing similar trunks come with this lot from the collection of Floyd Patterson. LOAs from Craig Hamilton and the Patterson family are included.
