Greg Joly Game Used Washington Capitals Jersey
Defenseman Greg Joly, the first-round draft pick of the expansion Washington Capitals in 1974-75, rang up the first assist in club history on October 9, 1974, on a Ron Anderson goal against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden, a 6-3 loss for the fledgling club. Joly wore this rugged Capitals jersey during that maiden campaign and played 2 seasons in D.C. before moving on to Detroit. White, red and blue jersey has "Washington Capitals" and 6 stars on front in blue and red. "3" on back and both sleeves in blue on red tackle twill. "Wilson [size] 42" tag inside collar. Nameplate has been removed. Great use including stick, dirt (and blood?) marks, a few tears and several team repairs. A tough old survivor of the hockey wars, and a first-year Capitals beauty.
