Janis Joplin Negatives With Copy Right (12)

Janis Joplin Negatives With Copy Right (12)

Negatives 2.5x2.5"; photos 5"x4. Another terrific opportunity to capture a "Kodak Moment" in musical history through photography. Janis returned to her hometown and family abode in Port Arthur, Texas for a holiday visits at Christmas, 1967. Leonard Duckett was the editor of the "Port Arthur News" at the time and was assigned the special priviledged to photograph and interview Janis, the hometown hero whose musical style and charisma is still unmatched. While visiting the family home, Dockett had a friendly discussion about blues singers and their history, the meaning of soul and the development of Janis' budding career. He took these twelve photographs including a resported only known family shot with her mom, dad, brother and sister. This shot can also be seen in Laura Joplin's bestselling book, "Love Janis". These warm hearted photos show the vintage sixties era. All twelve black and white photographs come with letters assigning all publishing rights. They are in very clean condition and a wise investment. Note: Does not come with full copyright.
