Jimmy Bryan's Auto Racing Hall of Fame Medallion

During his nine years of competition at the Indianapolis 500 from 1952-60, driver Jimmy Bryan posted an impressive four finishes among the top six, including the checkered flag in 1958. This medallion was awarded to Bryan posthumously upon his induction into the Hall of Fame. The front reads "Auto Racing Hall of Fame, Jimmy Bryan, Membership Medallion," and it is affixed to a triangular stand. The dedication on the back reads "Presented By, The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation Incorporated," it is 4" tall including stand and the medallion itself is 3" wide.Just two years after his biggest career win at the Brickyard, Bryan perished from injuries sustained during a 1960 race crash, and this medallion remains a simple yet significant tribute to his greatness.
