John Lennon "Imagine" White Matte Gold Record Presented to John Lennon

John Lennon "Imagine" White Matte Gold Record Presented to John Lennon

As all dedicated Rock 'n' Roll collectors are aware, the most desirable Gold Records are the earliest "white matte" albums from the 1960s. This one is for the 1960s mantra, "Imagine," from the most iconic hero of that generation. Still has the original paper label from "New York Frame & Picture Co." with a John St N.Y. address. This is an RIAA Sales Award for the entire album, "Imagine John Lennon Plastic Ono Band," and was presented to Lennon to commemorate the sale of more than one million dollars worth of the Apple Records long-playing record album. The display measures 17.5x22x1", is backed by white linen, and is in EX-MT condition.
