Kurdt Kobain High School Yearbook
Kurt Cobain 8th. Grade 1981 Montesano Senior and Junior High School, Montesano, WA. This book is in excellent condition. The name of the original owner is stamped in gold on the cover and the book has no moisture damage, no cutouts, no torn or missing pages and minimal writing, mostly confined to the back; cover and binding are excellent. Kurt Cobain is pictured as an 8th. grader; and while the Senior yearbook for a "celebrity" is normally the most desirable (since it has the most and best photos, an overview of their entire high school career and yearbooks tend to focus mostly on Seniors), this is notable in that it is believed that this is the last year Kurt is pictured in a yearbook. His name is listed in what should have been his Senior yearbook, but he is not pictured. He left a short while before graduation and moved back and forth between Montesano and Aberdeen quite frequently...and generally disdained school. He has a great posed individual head photo as a 8th. grader and also shows up with a wonderful shot of him playing drums in a group of four (perhaps practicing). This could well be the first known "published" photo of him involved with music.<b> </b>
