Large Collection of St. Louis Cardinals Team-Signed Baseballs (72)
This collection of five-dozen baseballs are all personally signed and in the Cardinals' coaches' possession until recently. They average 20 signatures each with many having more. The combination of official NL and St. Louis Cardinals souvenir balls range from the 1970s-90s with some duplication. The balls themselves average VG with most signatures rating 7/10 or better (only a few are lesser condition). Names here are a virtual Who's Who of St. Louis baseball - even a few old timers: Musial, Brock, Cooper, O. Smith, K. Boyer, Herzog, Flood, Coleman, Forsch, Van Slyke, Torre, Templeton, Hrabosky, McGee, L. Smith, Brunansky, 1987 World Series team, Sutter, Hernandez, Uecker, Blades, Worrell, Carpenter, Lee Smith, Shannon, McCarver, Gibson, and Schoendienst himself, with many of these names appearing on multiple baseballs. And that's just a small sampling.
