Lee Harvey Oswald Handcuffs and Historic Dallas Police Memorabilia
One of the last things Oswald said before Jack Ruby shot him down was “Please take the handcuffs from behind me, behind my back…” These are the handcuffs he referred to in his last statements. The police cuffs (with the original key) are displayed with the credentials of Dallas Police Department detective Henry Moore responsible for transporting Oswald. The credentials inside his leather wallet include blue enamel and silver metal Dallas Police Department’s Detective shield and Henry Moore’s Police Department photo I.D. Also included in the framed display, is a vintage photo of Oswald wearing the handcuffs accompanied by Detective Henry Moore and the cuff’s leather case. Also, included in a second framed display is the Dallas Police Department patch he wore that fateful day that our most beloved president, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. All of these historic pieces were acquired directly from Detective Moore. The handcuff display measures 42x23x3” and the patch display is 31.5x25.5 and both have a metal plate which identifies the source and the history behind the pieces. EX-MT.
