LIU Plaques Presented to Ossie Schectman (2)
Offered here are a pair of plaques honoring LIU alum and the Knick's first captain, Ossie Schectman. One is a black 5.5" x 7" LIU Sports HOF plaque which is inscribed "Citation LIU Sports Hall of Fame To Ossie Schectman All-American Basketball Blackbird Club February 27, 1975". The second is a 10" x 8" plaque listing some of Schetman's accomplishments including being credited with scoring the first basket in NBA history in 1946.
