Handwritten letter signed by this great General is circa 1814 based on the letter that came with it. This is around the time right after he abdicated the throne. After his failure in Russia, Napoleon's Empire fell to pieces. Paris, the French capital, was captured on March 30, 1814, and Napoleon's generals realized that it was a lost cause and gave up. On April 6, 1814, Napoleon was forced to abdicate the throne in humiliation. This letter is one page handwritten, with military content mentioning artillery. Measures 7x9" and is in Excellent condition.
