Nolan Ryan Autographed Wllie Rodriguez Catchers Mitt Worn for Ryan's 4th No-Hitter
A most historic piece of game used baseball equipment from the Puerto Rican born, Ellie Rodriguez of the California Angels. Wilson 1691 Snap-Action was worn to catch Nolan Ryan’s 4th no-hitter. With that single performance on June 1, 1975, the Ryan Express tied the record set previously by Sandy Koufax. Ryan would, of course, finish his career with a total of 7 no-nos. Aside from displaying the world class use attributed to such a game, the glove is inscribed completely in the hand of Rodriguez, 4th no hitter of Nolan Ryan” along the outer ridge of the thumb. Additionally, it is signed (also on thumb) by Ellie Rodriguez and dated. Most memorable are the two signatures from Ryan on the inside of the pinky. Both are dated with the day of his 4th no-hitter, and signed (one in green marker - faded, the other in black). Back of glove is marked in 2 spots with Rodriguez’ number, “6” in vintage black marker, along with his first name, “Ellie.”
