Ossie Schectman's Players Contract for the First Year Knicks 1946-1947

A member of the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame, Ossie Schectman was an original member of the New York Knickerbockers in 1946 and was credited with scoring the first hoop in NBA history (back when the league was known as the BAA). This is the original, full-signed contract for his first year with the fledgling Knicks, during which he earned $5,000. This is the first of its kind to surface. Also included are some of the pay stubs and vouchers from the same year.
