Rare Clay-Quarry "Mosque" Poster
Unusual poster for a closed-circuit broadcast at the Harrisburg Zembo Mosque of the October 26, 1970 Ali-Quarry fight that marked Ali's return to the ring after 3 years of enforced exile while he fought in court against his draft-dodging conviction. The poster reflects his support in the Muslim community and yet, oddly, it calls him "Cassius Clay" -- the "slave name" he renounced -- with "Muhammad Ali" in parentheses. 14 x 22" poster is bright yellow with black lettering and has b&w head shots of the two fighters inside boxing gloves. VG-EX with some browning around the edges, tape on the corners and a light horizontal fold mark in the middle. The only one we have ever seen for sale or otherwise.
