Rare Joe Jackson As Catcher Photograph With Published Version
Ever so briefly, Joe Jackson toyed with the idea of playing catcher, as this extremely rare photograph suggests. Though the star outfielder never actually played a single major league game behind the plate, he certainly looks every bit the part in this spectacular silver gelatin image. A few tears at the corners and some tape residue. There is no other known shot of Jackson donning the tools of ignorance, so there is inherent value in that fact alone. Not only do you get the photo, but the lot also includes the full scrapbook page containing the article in which this was used to print.
