Reggie Jackson Senior Yearbook Cheltenham High School, Wyncote, PA. This is a soft-covered book, was a "file copy" and is as close to perfect as a book can get with the slightest evidence of it having been put on and off shelves over the years. The pages have not ever been opened fully, so the spine is still stiff. There is the slightest evidence of the book having rubbed up against other books on a shelf with a touch of wear to the extreme edges of the spine. There is absolute no writing and no defects within the book. Reggie has 5 fabulous shots in the book. He is shown in the graduating seniors section with a nice, clear posed individual head photo and a set of "comments" including "future All American"; "Screamin' 55 Chevy" etc. He appears in the team photo of the football team (wearing #44!) and the team photo of the basketball team (both team photos are exceptionally clear and Reggie stands out in both). There is a 1/4 page candid where it appears Reggie may have been hurt during a football game and he is being helped off the field and finally there is a 1/2 page shot of just him sitting on the sidelines, looking a little bit tired! Reggie Jackson's Senior book is one of SEVEN in this auction which represent numbers retired by the NY Yankees. He is one of the all-time GREATS and certainly stands out as Mr. October. As an added bonus, the Senior photo of Jonathan Netanyahu appears (Israeli hero killed in the rescue at Entebbe.)
