On June 17, 1954 at Yankee Stadium in New York, World Heavyweight Champion Rocky Marciano made his third defense of the title against highly skilled former champion Ezzard Charles. In one of the most bruising fights in Marciano's career, the champion prevailed in a close, 15-round decision. Offered here is an exceptionally rare on-site poster on paper with photos of both boxers in fight poses. Bold color and print with clear images, it includes the original folds. The poster exhibits tape stains from mounting and has tape on the reverse, plus edge and surface wear with pieces missing on the borders. Measures 34" x 41".
