Suite 70 Neon Display

Suite 70 Neon Display

No moment ever electrified Busch Stadium quite like Mark McGwire’s 70th home run in 1998, so what collectible can better juice up that memory than this neon Suite 70 sign that hung on the wall of the popular party room in the left field grandstand? The sign buzzes with current running through the neon tubes, just as the crowd did whenever Big Mac came to bat. Navy blue base color of the figure and number, with double-bordered pinlights of red and yellow – and especially the yellow skeletal outline of the McGwire figure -- are dazzling when lit up. Fluorescent tubes mold the figure of McGwire following through on the swing that produced #70, intermingling with tubes forming the “7” and the “0”, and are covered by raised lucite. Underside is a black metallic frame that attaches to the walls by means of clamps and bolts. Piece is 53” wide and 53” from Big Mac’s shoes to the top of his bat that extends a good 12” above the “0.” EX-MT condition. Includes all electrical wiring needed to light up that special place you have in mind for it. <br>(Estimate $1,000 - $2,000)
