Suite 70 Sign
Sign that hung over the front door of Suite 70 (37” x 37”) offers a great rendering of the man who gave the section of Busch Stadium grandstand and party room behind it its theme. The Mark McGwire image – long swing unwinding, bat pointing straight up in his left hand, his right hand having characteristically slid off the bat upon impact – was faithfully reproduced from pictures of Big Mac’s 70th homer in 1998. The background color is bright yellow, with the McGwire figure outlined in black against a riveting red “70” with a black border. “Suite” is in a gold oval under the figure’s reposing right hand, the letters in black with a blue “shadow.” The entire central image is bordered by a thin red-white double border and encased in a black metallic box frame. The sign is backlit with a glass front and includes electrical wiring.
