The Last Photo Ever Taken of Patsy Cline

The Last Photo Ever Taken of Patsy Cline

Superstar singer Patsy Cline, who influenced generations of pop and country singers with her deep contralto voice, was at the microphone doing what she does best on March 4, 1963. The following night, the 30-year-old was dead. This incredible vintage image of the legend is her last known photograph. On the reverse, in vintage writing, is: "PICTURE TAKEN IN BIRMINGHAM, ALA. THE NITE BEFORE SHE WAS KILLED IN PLANE CRASH. PATSY CLINE - PICTURE TAKEN BY RODGER JOHNSON." Before Cline's flight had encountered weather problems, she reportedly turned down an offer by friend and colleague Dottie West to drive 16 hours to Nashville, saying, "Don't worry about me, Hoss. When it's my time to go, it's my time." The 5x7" color photo is NRMT.
