Trademark Hat Worn by Race Car Legend J.C. Agajanian

Trademark Hat Worn by Race Car Legend J.C. Agajanian

This trademark hat was well worn by Joshua "J.C./Aggie" Agajanian, an influential figure in American motorsports history. He was a promoter and race car owner, with generations in the family dedicated to auto racing, including three Indianapolis 500 wins from this important and charismatic figure. He was known for his boldness and his strength of character. This hat was made by Resistol, and is similar to a Stetson; silk-lined with a feather band around the base. Inside, incised in the leather rim, is "Created Expressly for J.C. Agajanian." Has some soiling from wear, and comes from the collection of the Helms Hall Sports Museum. Lot will also come with letter of provenance/authenticity from Lelands.com.
