Wonderful specimen from the dead ball era looks positively ancient compared to modern balls, with less than perfect centering of panels and amateurish stitching. Wear is evident in dark age spots and worn spots in the leather where the rubber core shows through, but Spalding stamp is still dark and impressive. A must for collectors of 19th century baseball.
