Two Bats from the Harry Heilmann Collection

Two Bats from the Harry Heilmann Collection

Two great pieces of lumber from the Harry Heilmann collection. 1) Limited Edition 1952 Hall of Fame brown bat that was given to the Heilmann family and is NRMT. Gold stampings display autographs of Heilmann and fellow inductee Paul Waner, as well as July 20, 1952, and "210 of 500." 2) 1920s Hillerich and Bradsby; while this is a model 40 HH we can not rule out the possibility of Harry Heilmann using this bat since it comes directly from his family - typically Major Leaguers used model 125 H&B bats but this one does show Major League type use with baseball seam impressions on the barrel and the wood is of good quality. Measuring 36" and weighing 33 ounces, again, we would typically rule out a 40 model being a game used bat but this comes from the family and has use indicative of Major League play.
