Tom Brady Rookie Card Goes for Record $2.25 million in Lelands Auction

Tom Brady's 2000 Playoff Contenders Championship Rookie Ticket Auto #144 card sold at auction for $2,252,855 million during Lelands 2021 Spring Classic Auction. The opening bid was set at $75,000 and there were 67 bids.

The sale beat the previous record of $1.32 million for a football card - the same Brady rookie card that was sold in the previous month. The nearly million-dollar difference was in the grading of the card. Friday's sale had a card grade of 8.5 out of 10 and an autograph grade of 9 out of 10.
