1869 Andrew Johnson Signed Check
Our seventeenth President, and the unfortunate successor to Abraham Lincoln, has left his 7/10 fountain pen signature at the bottom this check issued by the Government Depository and Financial Agent. Dated August 23rd 1869 it has been made out to one “Thas Cooker” in the amount of “$235.12”. Slightly trimmed along the bottom edge with official stamping on verso that crosses the signature o/w EX. Matted and framed with a 4.5”x6.5” image of Johnson to 11”x19”.
