1897 William McKinley Signed Cabinet Photograph (8x11")
Just four years after this photograph was signed, the twenty-fifth President of the United States was shot twice by a deranged anarchist. McKinley died eight days later. Perfect 10/10 black ink inscription on the back of this marvelous cabinet photograph reads, "For Muriel Packard Walbridge, with kindest regards, W. McKinley." Photo is NRMT; mount has some water staining that does not touch inscription.
