1880 Boston Beaneaters Stock Certificate - Best Known Example

1880 Boston Beaneaters Stock Certificate - Best Known Example

Rare Boston Base Ball Association stock certificate issued to James F. Balch and dated Dec. 15, 1880. This 5.25x12" document has the original stub attached, something we've never seen before. Original certificate was transferred on July 15, 1882, as noted on back. A pin is pierced through the stub and certificate (most likely to hold the two together originally). Some creasing and original glue holding the stub and certificate together. There were a number of these found but this is the best one we have ever seen and with the original stub. This may have been the pick of the litter in the 1970s find of these.
