1881 Howland Sporting Goods Receipt w/Boston Catcher

Wonderful old receipt, the only known specimen, on stationary featuring baseball legend Harry Wright. The receipt is dated December 29, 1881, and is signed by Geo. W. Howland, a pioneer in the sporting goods industry. Ad copy in the top left reads, "The Only Sure Protection for Catchers, HOWLAND'S, PATENT STEEL SPRING CATCHERS' MASKS."
