1888 "Play Ball" By "The King of the Diamond" Mike Kelly

"Play Ball" by Mike Kelly is one of the mainstays of any baseball book collection. With only a few dozen copies known to exist, original copies such as this rarely come to market. This famous and rare autobiographical baseball memoir is the earliest and first ever memoir released by a baseball player. It goes into detail about his baseball past and the people he encountered including Anson and Spalding. Partial cover has been professionally restored. Overall good condition.
