1900 U.S. Olympic Team Framed Albumen Photo and Badges
Stunning 7x9” image of the New York Athletic Club Team are posed at the “English and French Championships” of “July - 1900” as annotated in original ink on this early display. Below the photo are white silk bow tie and two decorative pins from the games, one of which has an enamel “U” intersecting two Olympic rings. Back is notated and signed in vintage ink by team captain Charles H. Sherrill, “NY Athletic Club Team which represented the U.S. at the 1900 International Olympic Championships held at the Racing Club grounds in the Bois de Boulge, Paris, won the 1900 Olympic Championships.” Overall 18x17”.
