Offered is a fabulous collection of these classic books that were the rage in the early 1900s and beyond. These predated comic books and pulp magazines of the 1930s, some with gorgeous dust jackets as shown here. They are still highly collected today, as they were way back when. The great writers of this type of literature are here including Horatio Alger, Zane Grey, Winn & Burt Standish, and even Christy Mathewson. There are five Matty books here and three have their scarce dust jackets. Books are overall EX and there are many first edition rarities. They are mostly baseball and football but many other sports are here including hockey and basketball with young women as the protagonists.
