1902 Theodore Roosevelt Signed Document as President
With this document, dated June 9, 1902, President Roosevelt appointed Roane county’s most prominent citizen, Isaac A. Hill, Postmaster at Harriman, Tennessee. A captain during the Civil War, Isaac held a number of positions in public office and was a pioneer of the state’s iron ore industry. “Theodore Roosevelt” banner scrolls across the top. Great Americana eagle graphics. The signature is of the utmost quality, slightly lighter from age, rating a 9/10. Document adorned with the golden U.S. Postmaster Seal and red ribbons.
