1909 Patent Ban Johnson Official American League Baseball
Official American League ball, dating from the 1910-1925 manufacturing period. The ball displays light soiling, as well as a few minor nicks and abrasions. Most of the manufacturer's stampings remain bold and legible. The "O" in Official is centered above the "c" in "American" and and ends over the "u" in "League" The patent stamp still reads "PAT'D AUG. 31-09" below that. The south panel reads "9 IN. 5 OZ." below "WARRENTED" and "The Cork Center". Side panel is stamped "Ban Johnson" and exhibits some fading.
