1911-12 Harry "Cassidy" Dewer Grizzlies Pin

1911-12 Harry "Cassidy" Dewer Grizzlies Pin

The 1911 and 1912 Denver Grizzlies were two of the greatest minor league teams in history (ranked #22). Their star outfielder was a perennial .300 hitter named Harry Cassidy (really Cassady). Prior to his 1908 arrival in the Mile high City, the former Pirate and Senator was presented a Hudson Touring car "From The Fans," as is noted on the ribbon. The 1.75" pin has a small water stain and original paper insert on verso. This item could only be found in Vern Foster's collection as he lived in Denver, and you will see this nowhere else. Cassidy played over 800 consecutive games during his six years with the Grizzlies (1908-13).
