1936 James Braddock Signed "Knockout" Game Board

1936 James Braddock Signed "Knockout" Game Board

When the "Cinderella Man" Jimmy Braddock defeated Max Baer in 1935 to win the heavyweight title one of the benefits he reaped were endorsements of different products. One is the KNOCKOUT board game we are offering here. Braddock is prominently pictured at the center. He has boldly signed the game board in ink, "To Dick Cummings My Little Friend Best Wishes Jimmy Braddock 2/19/36." Signed as world heavyweight champion. Includes the game board which has edge and surface wear with mild soiling. The game pieces are not included. One of two we have seen, both from the same consignor. Must have been an in-store promotion where he signed. 19.5" x 19.5". VG.
