Sugar Ray Leonard Fight Worn Robe

Sugar Ray Leonard Fight Worn Robe

In the second half of the 20th century many boxing historians argue that Sugar Ray Leonard was the best fighter of the period. Quite a statement considering the era included Muhammad Ali. Look no further than the record of Sugar Ray Leonard to further the argument. Leonard won a gold medal in the 1976 Olympics. After turning professional he became a multi champion beating the likes of Benitez, Duran, Hearns, and Hagler, all Hall of Famers in their own right. Equipment of this great champion is seldom seen at public sale. Offered here is an actual robe attributed to Sugar Ray Leonard. The robe is red satin with white trim.On the back in white letters are the words, "Sugar Ray Leonard" which are flanked by 4 white stars. Includes the white sash and has an Everlast label on the front left breast. Cannot be attributed to a specific fight.
