1911 New York Highlanders (Yankees) Team Photograph (PSA Type I)

1911 New York Highlanders (Yankees) Team Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photograph capturing thirty members of the New York Highlanders posing together at spring training in 1911, including player/manager Hal Chase and Hippo Vaughn. The creative image pictures the players sitting in the bleachers, arranged in such a manner that they form the team's initials: "N. Y." Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with the handwritten names of the players pictured and they year ("1911"). The photo (7.5x4") has been slightly trimmed along all four borders and displays a few light creases. There is also clear tape applied to the reverse. Aside from the trimming, the photo is in Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
