1912 First Ever Fenway Park Ticket - Only One Known

1912 First Ever Fenway Park Ticket - Only One Known

April 19, 1912, ticket stub is the only one we know to exist of this most auspicious occasion. The first ever game was scheduled for that date but the game was actually a rainout and later played on June 29, 1912. This is the only one that has ever been offered from the true first day. Another has been sold dated from the 20th but this is obviously the true "first." The 1912 Boston Red Sox would eventually win this one against the New York Highlanders cum "Damn Yankees" and go on to take the World Championship of '12. This gorgeous stub is a fresh to the hobby recent discovery has and is slabbed a VERY conservative PSA 4 VG-EX but has the look of Near Mintness.Fenway Park would go on to win the hearts and fascination of Boston, Massachusetts, New England, the USA and ultimately the world. As of this day, the effect on the universe is but a mystery, but we can only imagine.
