1919 "Black Sox" World Series Tickets - Games One, Two, Five & Six (4)

Ticket stubs to Games 1, 2, 5, and 6 of the controversial 1919 World Series, stellar keepsakes on the 100th Anniversary of the Black Sox scandal. One ticket (Game 2) is authenticated and encapsulated by PSA and assigned a grade of "authentic." Game 1 and 6 tickets have minor paper loss on the back. While the overall condition is Fair, these would still display nicely in PSA "authentic" holders. The three tickets from Cincinnati's home games are numbered as such, with Game "3" actually being the sixth in the eight-game series. Likewise, the ticket from Comiskey Park has a "3" from their third home game, which was series Game 5. Cincinnati swept Games 1 and 2 at home, and the Game 5 victory in Chicago made the best-of-9 series 4-1, though the Sox did stave off elimination in Game 6 before losing the series by a 5-3 margin. Of course, the stunning upset had an insidious backstory resulting in the infamous "Eight Men Out" lifetime suspension for throwing the series.

2019 marks the 100th Anniversary of the most infamous scandal in sports history. The 1919 World Series was the scene of the crime, the culprits were eight members of the Chicago “Black Sox” and the crime was game fixing.
