1922 Eddie Cicotte Two-Page Handwritten Letter with "Black Sox" Content

An amazing artifact, perfectly timed for the 100th Anniversary of the 1919 Black Sox scandal, this two-page letter was written in 1922 by Eddie Cicotte. Two separate 5x8" pages, not front and back, it is dated 4-9-22 at the top and includes, "I haven't heard from Swede lately but I guess they are busy booking games." He also writes: "I have been working out the last few days but I can't get any catcher." The letter is written in 8/10 pencil, signed "E. Cicotte," initialed "E.V.C" and dated "4-9-22." It has typical mailing folds, otherwise it is in EX condition. Cicotte lost two of the three games he pitched in that series and was one of the legendary "Eight Men Out" banned from the majors for life due to his indiscretion.

2019 marks the 100th Anniversary of the most infamous scandal in sports history.
