1923 Rendezvous Trophy Presented by Jack Dempsey (23")
This handsome sterling cup trophy on podium was presented by Jack Dempsey, who held the world heavyweight title from 1919-1926. Tough to say exactly who the trophy was presented to, but this is one impressive looking piece, carrying the name of the first great American sports hero on the front. Engraved in deep, large lettering is “Rendezvous Trophy presented by Jack Dempsey, Champion of the World - Nov. 2, 1923.” Dedication occurred just 1 ? months after he fought Luis Firpo. Trophy is adorned with elaborate leaf trim. EX.
