1926 New York Yankees World Series Photograph (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photo capturing the capacity crowd gathered at Yankee Stadium for the first game of the 1926 World Series between the Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. Taken from the perspective of the left field bleachers, the photo pictures the players warming up prior to the game and also a marching band, which has assembled in foul territory down the left field line. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with the handwritten caption “1926 World Series at Yankee Stadium Yanks vs. Cards.” The photo (9.x7.25”) displays a few light creases and is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
