1930s Honus Wagner Photograph Used for 1940 Play Ball Card Image! (PSA Type I)

Original Type I photo of Honus Wagner used in the production of his 1940 R335 Play Ball card. Wagner was a coach with the Pirates at the time, and this image pictures him in uniform as he poses in front of the grandstand. Although Four Brown Brothers credit stamps and a Brown Brothers credit label appears on the reverse, as noted by PSA, this image was originally taken by an International News photographer. A few additional typed and written editorial notations appear on the reverse. The photo (5x7") displays a few light corner creases. In Very Good to Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
