1932 National Counter-Olympic Committee Document Collection (3)
Three handbills were distributed by the Communist organization in protest of the Lake Placid Winter Olympic Games. One advertises a run/demonstration to free a “wrongfully” jailed man. Another speaks against the Olympics for boycotting the Soviet Union “…because the Soviet Government is a workers Government…” The final one “…declares that the Olympic games are the creation of a few, self-appointed millionaires, counts, army officers…” NRMT.
