1932 Olympic Trials Boxing Photos including Panorama (15 photos)
Fifteen photos from the 1932 Summer Olympics trials held in San Francisco. These photographs of varying quality capture the struggle and agony of boxing in nearly every frame. Four are labeled as Olympic boxing and ten as Olympic boxing finals with one posed shot of fighter Hans Birkie who has an uncanny resemblance to Jake LaMotta. The sizes range from 6x9” to 9x12” and there is one very large panorama measuring 18.5x11” Several of the photos have been touched up for AP wire transfer and the panorama has two large creases running horizontally and vertically.
